Prophesied by the Prophet Isaiah (Isaiah 9:6), announced to shepherds with their flocks and received in a manger, the savior of the world came into the world (Luke 2:7-12). Disciples of the Word of God, perhaps descended from Daniel, saw the sign of Christ’s birth and wanted to go and worship Him (Matthew 2:2)!
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
The LORD looks down from heaven on the children of man, to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God.
One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in his temple.
Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice!
Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually!
Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap steadfast love; break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the LORD, that he may come and rain righteousness upon you.
